Resume & Tech Essentials workshop for the Teen Center at the Davenport Resource Center

Davenport is a rural area, with only 4 daily buses reaching the area.3 This makes Davenport less accessible to build connections that can increase funding and create opportunities for tech lessons. The youth have expressed several times to their project coordinator that they are interested in learning about building resumes and applying for jobs online, as well as other tech skills. There is a need to provide tech essential workshops because much of the youth have desires to create resumes and apply for jobs. Providing them with tech workshops will lead the way for the youth to gain important job skills. Enhancing their skills for the job market will provide them access to jobs that can potentially lift them to a higher socioeconomic status.
